Vocation Requirements

A young woman today who experiences an inner attraction toward contemplative life, is searching for more that a place where she can have time for quiet prayer. This attraction does not draw one for its own sake. In the call to monastic life there is a grace which, when allowed to develop through years of faithfulness, produces a radical gift of self to God and a dedication to working for the growth and common good of the world. 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE:           

• A firm belief in God''s call to follow Christ wholeheartedly
• Between the ages of 20 and 40
• College or work experience
• No financial debts or persons dependent on you
• Single Practicing Roman Catholic
• Good physical and psychological health
• Psychological maturity proportionate to one''s age
• Open-mindedness and suitability to community life
• Ability to exercise good judgment
